New Custom Grips on AW93

Post by dsd »

Just wanted to post a picture of my new grips for the AW93.

They were made by a forum member (Dick Horton) based on photocopies of my hand.

Price was much less than Rink or Nill and turn around time was less than 3 weeks!

Plus, he was able to notch out the Brenzovich mount and offered great communication.

I chose an upswept palm, finger grooves, exhibition wood with a lacquer finish.

I am very happy with them and they fit great. No affiliation, just a happy customer and wanted to share another grip option I had not hear of until I posted a WTB on this forum.

Best,
dsd

Dicks grips are first class. I have a set on my Ruger MkII and a Beretta 89.

How does one contact Dick Horton? Does he have a website?

I am not aware of a website, but he is user "DHMG" here, so a message or lookup in the directory should point you there.

If you cannot find a contact, PM me.

It is an Aimpoint Micro H1 with the Brenzovich mount.

Do you happen to have a photo of the left side of your grip? LG

Beautiful work for sure. If I didn't already have the Nill's that came on my AW93, I would be all over these.

Thanks for the excellent source,

Joel

Dick made me a set of LH grips for a High Standard earlier this year -- for lefties, he is about the only option and a good one at that! And as other posters have noted, his products are custom fit to the shooter, well made, delivered quickly, and price competitive.

CUSTOM GRIPS FOR AW-93

Post by DHMG »

Horton Grips are available for nearly every make and model target auto. This does not include Free Pistol, Air Pistol, or revolvers due to the requirements for pattern guns on hand. Basic designs are geared to the Bullseye shooter and custom fit to the individual shooter thru Xerox copies of one's hand. Photos and pricing info can be provided by E-mailing Horton1@charter.net.
