It seems very confusing - they list the pistol events, then below, say No ISSF events. - so is there Pistol shooting or not?.....
There is ISSF events in Pistol and Rifle, they also have some non ISSF events too

Coach allowing I'm planning on booking this one too :)

I assume that should read "Non ISSF events" judging from what is written under that heading ;-)

I am hoping to be there, the last one I shot was in 1989, but my problem is not having any suitable pistols, - I live in the UK :-(

"No ISSF events" is just a title to indicate those shooting activities that don't fall under ISSF rules.
I'm quite sure that the protest from shooters influenced the organizers to reconsider the shooting. Good thing anyhow.

I have attended the WMG in Edmonton and Sydney, and was very disappointed when shooting was dropped from the Torino games. I wrote polite emails requesting shooting be reinstated. And I received polite responses.

Now that shooting is back, there are currently three shooters in the Denver area planning to participate at Torino next August. I was even able to find the pistol/rifle shooting range on Google Earth (do a search using via Guglielmo Reiss Romoli 62, Torino, Italy). There are some WMG shooting events planned that we don't see in the USA. Can anyone provide a description or link to rules for the following 'Not ISSF' events?

25 m Pistol Original/Replica unified
- Cominazo
- Kuchenreuter
- Mariette
- Colt

50 m Rifle Original/Replica unified
- Vetterli
- Miquelet
- Lamarmora

100 m Rifle Original/Replica unified
- Miniè
- Whitworth

“Ex Ordinanza” (Italian Rules)
- 100 m Rifle Big Bore – “Mire metalliche” – Unified category

I just might have some 'No ISSF' firearms that would work in these matches.

Best Regards,
