Air pistol rules?

Hello,
I have been making plans to build my own air pistol. I have zero experience in competition. As I build my pistol, which rules should I apply to so that I could compete in high level competitions? The only set of rules I have seen so far are NRA rules. Is there another rulebook in pistol just as many air rifle competitions us the CMP rules.

There's the ISSF Rules which are used in top level competitions.

Basic competition rules are in section 6.11.1.1.1 on page 245.

Pistol specifications are set out in 8.9 and 8.10 on pages 344 & 345.
