Looking for FP gunsmithing info
I have that crazy thought about making my own FP (please tell me it is too crazy to even think about it :) My idea is to use as many existing parts as possible (barrels, trigger groups, grips, etc) and just machining a frame. Now I'm looking for more info, e.g. plans, drawings, schematics, any deign specifics, parts availability, etc. Are there any sites with this kind of information available?

it is not crazy as long as you know what you want. there is a difference in just building a car and building a ferrari.
check out igor's blog where he has made his own grip and electronic trigger for a Toz and a compensator for a FWB C20 multi shot CO2 pistol. maybe you would find it easier to fine tune a piece than building something completely ground up especially if you do not have any prior experience of gunsmithing. toz35.blogspot.com

Why not start with an existing firearm and modify it as needed.
I shoot a Morini Free pistol with a home made compensator, shorter barrel, extended rear sight, modified trigger shape and grip alterations.
It has the same sight radius as the factory but weight is further back in the hand. The shorter barrel is much better for shooting in the wind.
Play and Learn.....some things work, some don't.
