weekly training schedule?

Post by toddinjax »

Hi all,

I find myself often "just shooting" rather than "training" progressively, keeping score, doing holding exercises & dry firing. I'm not sure how to go about setting up a training schedule or program. How many times per week do you actually shoot, record a 60 shot "match" etc? I'd guess holding and dry fire if kept to 15 minute session could be done every day, but maybe a few days of not picking up the pistol at all leads to better overall results. How do you map out your training?

That is a big question ! It sort of depends what your objectives are, what level your at, what major matches your targeting and how much time you have available and facilities. Pretty much all of your training should be specific with objectives for every session. One specific item for example could be follow through and you can train that dry firing, live and live at a white card. don't forget physical exercise.
