Adjustable slings

Hi guys.Im interested please in peoples views about the new adjustable slings that have come onto the market.Particuly the MEC Contact sling.I had one for a while before it broke and while it did allow the upper arm loop to give free moving adjustment is it a gimmick? Or is this a worthy advance in technology?
