Anyone know if there will be any Olympic Shooting broadcast on the internet this coming Olympics? 2008 they didn't show much but did show all the archery live (wee hours of the morning) as well as having the replay out there for months afterwards.
They post the ISSF World Cup matches on Youtube and it's great but you'd think they'd play the actual Olympics live on the net. I know NBC is anti gun but this is the Olympics and their sports channel (Versus) still shows shooting shows.

Not sure what you mean. There's more than 3 years of ISSF World Cup videos on Youtube including the most recent. NBC owns rights to broadcast the Olympics. They have 4 sports channels on US television. Last Olympics, 2008, they also broadcast the Olympics including live on their website. That they didn't broadcast any shooting events isn't because they didn't have rights to do it but they are Anti Gun and don't support the shooting sports. NBC took over Versus which used to be the Outdoor Life Network. The network was mostly shooting, hunting and fishing. They have a core audience of outdoor people so dumping shooting sports on that channel would loose them substantial amount of viewers. We all thought when they changed the name Jan 1, they'd dump anything that to do with firearms but to our surprise they didn't.
ESPN3 shows World Cup Archery but no World Cup Shooting. Here in the US we know why that is. They sell alot of archery gear when those show. There's 60million gun owners in the US. Wouldn't doubt alot of shooting gear would be sold there as well. Don't think there's 60million archers.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will broadcast any of the shooting events at the 2012 Olympics, either on one of their sports channels or their sports website. I'd think many target shooters would be wondering the same, if they'll see any on tv or internet.

The BBC has said that it will be streaming from every Olympic venue, and also offering these streams to national broadcasters. I'm assuming that viewing these streams will be limited by geography and the licence agreement with the IOC. But a proxy service could help circumvent that.

You'll be able to watch sport from every venue from first thing in the morning to last thing at night... Hockey fans can watch live uninterrupted hockey, and table tennis fans can stick all day with their sport too.
NBC did broadcast the shooting sports on the Olympics ont heir satellite networks, Bravo, USA, and others. They were also webcast but you had to be a cable subscriber on one of their systems to get access. I live in the boondocks with a small cable company and I could not watch the shooters live, but could watch the scores live. I could watch many of the events after the fact, next day etc.
