Short Stocks for Jr
Does anybody now of a short stock that we can use for a 11 or 12 year old girl that is about 5' 2"? We have two 1413 barreled actions that are available.

Are you sure you want to try and build a junior rifle off an Anschutz heavy barrel?
I am sure this could be done, but in my mind I have a vision of a small girl wrestling with a front heavy rifle that is fully 15% of her body weight. Even with the stand set perfectly after bringing that rifle off the stand 10 times in offhand she will be done for the day.
Yeah, you could cut the barrel way down, get a short stock and a long bloop tube to get the weight down and the sight radius where it ought to be. By the time you have all the necessary mods done so the rifle is matched to the shooter you have way more money in it than if you just went and bought new an Anschutz 1903 or a CM-2. For a small lady you may still need to cut the butt down some but the end result is likely more workable and if the time comes, resellable.
Just my two cents,

Randy ...
Our CM-2's that have been fitted with ext tubes and Daisy rails weigh in at 7lb6oz. They are easily accurate enough to get kids to the JO's.
I have a 16yr old girl now that prefers the CM-2 to a 1912 because of the weight difference. She started with us about 3mo ago and is right at 500 now in 3-P. If you do just a small bit of trigger work on it you can get it so that it approximates a 2 stage (but is still about 1lb).
If you are looking at chopping the bbl, give Erin Gestel a call as his daughter shot a shortened version for years.

randy,
Two barreled actions for $200 or $200 apiece? Either this was a heck of a parts bin clearing sale or the barreled actions are not much good any more. Have they been tested to see if they have not been shot so much that the bullet comes out sideways? : )
Going of the charts a 12 y.o. girl weighs in around 95 pounds. (50th percentile) Unless you conjure up some incredible weight loss program, once you have sights and a very few accessories on it, just about anything based on a heavy barrel will come in around 13 pounds. This is 14% of the young ladies presumed body weight. I am not saying this to be mean, but that is enough weight to ensure she goes home and finds another sport. A gun that heavy will wear her out in offhand and simply crush her sling hand and arm in prone. (While not debilitating, I have nerve and bone damage in my sling arm from too much sling time with a heavy prone gun.)
As has been mentioned here, the greatest value these barreled actions have to your program is either as barter to trade for something more appropriate or outright sale for funds to acquire something more appropriate.
