thanks!

OTC firing point width
I just walked over and measured the 50 meter firing point lanes and they are exactly 48 inches wide which exceed ISSF requirements.

OP refers to Air Rifle, i.e. 10m ranges (6.3.15.1)76Olympian wrote:I just walked over and measured the 50 meter firing point lanes and they are exactly 48 inches wide which exceed ISSF requirements.

In any case, 6.3.14.2 To allow more shooters to participate in 50 m events, the width of the firing point may be reduced to 1.25 m = 49.21" - 48" is less than the ISSF requirements.

Mike, you mistakenly took 10 m. lanes for 50 m. lanes.
Next fall our air pistol shooters are going to get friendly. I am looking to reduce lanes down to 30 inches. It may not be ISSF legal but other wise I will have to turn a few people away. I will be putting 15 on 12 points. This past weekend I experimented with a full line by temporary sticking in an extra person. No one saw a problem. I can't make the sport grow if I turn people away. I would love to have this problem with 50 m pistol. I may have this problem with sport and center fire since we shoot them together.
OTC 50 meter lanes seemed wider than 48 inches, probably because no one seemed crowded shooting 50 meter rifle.
Locally we find 48" a luxury we can't afford. My home range uses 40" for 3P air rifle.
I am now curious about the width of the OTC air range.

Re: OTC firing point width
Nope, both air and smallbore rifle lanes are 48" at the OTC.renzo wrote:Mike, you mistakenly took 10 m. lanes for 50 m. lanes.
Re: OTC firing point width
Well, of course they are if you were there, but the I.S.S.F. rules say otherwise, and in one case it's enough and in the other it isn't.jhmartin wrote:Nope, both air and smallbore rifle lanes are 48" at the OTC.renzo wrote:Mike, you mistakenly took 10 m. lanes for 50 m. lanes.
