LP5 Trigger Problem

Post by montster »

A new to me LP5 was shooting wonderfully. Consistent trigger. Then I went to a new tin of my standard training pellets (RWS Hobby) and had issues with pellets not seating well and the magazine became stuck. Had to use some force to work it out but not real significant.

Since then trigger pull goes from normal to huge jump in pull pressure to go off. Usually first shot is normal and then after that you don't know what the pull will be like.

Take magazine out and dry fire the trigger pull is normal.

Appears I have messed up the magazine or the mechanism associated with indexing after each pull and this messes up the trigger.

Any insight here?

Was the pellet that got jammed in the magazine all mangled when you finally got it out? If so there might be some lead debris in there, if your lucky hat is all that's causing the problem.

Working Right

Well I Q tipped the magazine and just pulled out the tiniest of debris. Then touched up a tiny burr on the magazine with stone. Working perfectly now.
Whew!
