New A-50 target appears grey.

My son shot this target for the first time this weekend. He complained that since the scoring rings are smaller, and the white lines are a little wider than the old target, it lacks definition. Anybody else have this problem? Any solutions? Is he just nuts? Thanks

Well, there are two versions of the target. One version has thick lines. The other has very thin almost hair-like lines on it. I usually shoot on the latter of the two.
There is no difference between the scoring rings.
