My bad. It's very hard to distinguish a gun collector from a competitive athlete.

I'm neither-just like to buy and try . I would like to buy just one decent pistol. Just before this I lost out on a walther LPM-1 which is another gun I would like to try. I shot one once quite awhile ago and thought it was better than the K58 and the FWB 100.
Just the way it fit in my hand-that's my opinion

Why can't you ask your fellow gun club members to try their guns? I used to be a member of Oakland Sportsmen's Club in Michigan and we were happy with the experience when people shared their guns on the firing line with their fellow members. Get some experience. Shoot twenty to thirty rounds and buy what you like. Afterwards, master your skills and enjoy the competition environment.

If I had the choice between Steyr or Morini, I would choose the Morini. Steyr is overpriced anyway.

Well sad to say I don't belong to a club and don't even know if there is any in the rochester ny area.
I was just thinking that my house is large.three floors all hardwood floors and the third floor(attic) is finished and has a bathroom and shower .
My son lived up there even for awhile after he got married and so did my daughter but now=there is nothing up there but a big screen TV and a big couch.
I would say it is 50" from one side to the other .What a shooting range it would make. I would like to get one of those electric retrievers and install it up there.

I'm pretty sure there is a club in Rochester that actually shoots air pistol a few years back we were going to go there for a match.

Hard to know what to buy when you're just shooting in the dark. The Steyr had 2 benefits over the Morini when I bought mine. First, it was about $500 cheaper on the used market. That's mostly because (at the time I was looking) there seems to be 3 or 4 to 1 more Steyr AP's than Morini. And the second was that it Directly addressed the one issue/complaint I had with my prior AP ~ a full adjustable grip. A feature I'm Still in love with, even 3 years later (I had to make a slight adjustment today to account for a small change).

If I hadn't had prior experience, I wouldn't have known what I wanted either. If that's your situation, buy the Morini today. Before you buy the LP10E, look around at personal reviews ~ looks like most posts are talking about why they sold theirs, or favored the mechanical LP10, or the Morini to the LP10E.

And yes, sounds like you would have a great range. You could always buy one of the new Suis HS10 electronic targets (and if you get tired of it, let me know ~ I can only afford to buy 2nd hand. :D )

I have both the LP 10 and LP 10E, I like my 10E,. brian where exactly are all these post/reviews regarding the LP 10E can't say I seen any or even seen that many for sale, maybe I can pick up a second one as back-up.

That said just prior to getting my 10E I had finally gotten my trigger just about perfect on my LP10.

I agree the grip adjustability is a great feature and for me is the difference between the two that are both very mechanical sound and good pistols.

Is there any such thing as a single for in home use.
I know those who shoot competitively must have them in their home.
How much are they
two or three thousand.?

Before you buy either Steyr or Morini have a close look at the Walther LP400.
I also have owned both Steyr and Morini, but after trying a friends Walther last week I think there is a new force on the block.

Contact www.shotresponse.com Glenn Goodwin has an electronic Sius target for under $2000. You can have each shot and its score displayed right at the target or you can choose to hook up to a computer and have the hits/score etc displayed on a computer screen right next to you.
