cylinder for FWB 700

Post by m51chris »

Does anyone know a dealer who sells extra cylinders for the FWB 700 rifles? According to the Feinwerkbau website, the cylinders are subject to metal fatigue after 10 years.

I've looked at every dealer website I can find, and have not found any. Maybe it's too small an item to list...

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks, but Europe is too far away. I'm hoping to find a dealer in the US that supplies them. If they don't supply cylinders, I'm thinking they're not serious about long-term service. I'll go elsewhere.

Hi,I didn't know that you are from the states...
Did you ask about shipping cost?

I also had problems with my air cylinder on my P70.
Lucky for me,my team gave me a new one...

You could try emailing Feinwerbau direct and asking them where you can obtain one.

I emailed them at info@feinwerbau.de with a query about the 700. I emailed in English and got a reply in English.

Sounds good - I'll try again. Had emailed once with no response, but by all rights they should be a good source. Especially since they give so much emphasis to replacing cylinders in their website.

Try Neal Steep (International Shooters Service (ISS)) in Texas, I know he usually stocks the cylinders and the P70 and P700 use the same cylinders. His phone number is 817-595-2090. You can try Champion's Choice as they do carry spare cylinders for FWB pistols, but I haven't seen any rifle cylinders.

How about the Pilkington, the guy who runs this forum with the link at the top.

Unless there is something obviously wrong with your gas cylinder, leaks, seals, manometer, I wouldn't bother replacing it -- especially if all that worries you is the production date.

Within the USA it complies with the DOT Two Inch/Two Feet rule. It contains only air, is less than two inches in diameter and less than two feet long. So it is exempt from re-hydrotesting. At least as I understood the rule when I read it a few weeks ago.

Thanks for all the replies - I appreciate it. I did find (kind of accidentally) that Beeman in California has them in their online catalog. Didn't associate Beeman and FWB right away...
My purpose in having an extra cylinder is to carry it with me to local matches. There are very few people here (India) who have rifles, and I intend to let as many people as possible use mine - might run out of air before the end of the match, with only one cylinder.

10.9 has them although they are not listed on the site yet. Call 763.767.0492. One silver one in stock and one red.
- I would add that Pilkington carries a tremendous amount of stuff across all major brands, and I would check with him first as well.
