Hello,

The question I have is, The Anschutz catalog says that the sight has 20 clicks per revolution. At 10m, one click would move the point of impact .2mm(.008) How much impact does the sight radius have on a barrel(500mm) with a bloop tube?

It is all a game of proportions and similar triangles.

Since you refer to working at 10m, lets say you are working with a sight radius (rear iris to front aperature) distance of 0.85m and you are getting the advertised point of impact change of 0.2mm per click.

Now, I want to add a 0.2m (8 inch) bloop tube. My sight radius will now be 1.05m. I have increased the length of my sight radius by a factor of 1.05m/0.85m or 1.235. This means that each click will be 1/1.235 times less effective.

My clicks will now move the point of impact 0.2mm/1.235 or 0.16mm per click.

The longer the sight radius the less effective each click will be, the shorter the sight radius the more effective each click will be.

Now clearly, if you are working smallbore at 50m the 0.2mm change at 10m becomes 5 times that at 50m for a 1mm per click. Next divide that by 1.235 to get 0.81mm per click change.

justadude,

THANK YOU. your explanation was excellent and understandable. I can see that it will change but not enough to make a huge difference to my son at this moment.

Best Regards,
