MEC buttplate on Precise carrier

Post by Abi »

Is the MEC fully adjustable butt hook assembly supposed to come with screws to attach to a carrier?

The one we bought (secondhand but unused/unopened) came with everything up to and including the two prongs to go into the stock.

I don't believe the Free Position does (i've had a few) They are normal 4mm hex bolts though.

The pronged carrier plate the other poster refers to is not standard.

Yeah, looks like I'll be heading to the hardware store. (Precise carrier doesn't come with any screws for attachment either).

Thanks for your help

My new MEC also did not come with the screws or the 'prongs'. So, you weren't missing anything in unpacking.
