Air Arms S400 biathlon trainer air rifle

Post by Redster »

Not sure if this is the right forum or the biathlon forum to post this question. I am looking into buying a repeater air rifle for Biathlon style shooting set up at 10 meters. THe rifle I was looking at is the Air Arms S400 biathlon rifle. SInce it seem to be the least expense than the Steyr and FW offering as well as I can't find it used. Can't seem to find any review on this particular rifle or any of the biathlon air rifle in the market even. Any personal experience with this particular rifle or any of the biathlon air rifle in the market? I'll greatly appreciate any info or leads to review or even equipment.

I had a standard S400 sporter and it was a very nice rifle. The trigger can be adjusted and it was really accurate. Lever loading is very smooth, but a bit long compared to 22s. The 400 action is known to rust quick on the gas cylinder, so keep it oiled. Good luck in your decision.
