Main reason for the putty etc is for the noise, not to get that thwack, or ting sound for the neigbours to get upset
Of course, some members may not realise that in Australia air pistols are regarded as pistols and must be held under the same licence as a magnum.

A condition of our licence is that we shoot only on police approved ranges at clubs, so we are talking in theory here or how to make a pellet trap to work at the club and not for something we might set up in a shed at home which would be illegal.

Greg you are obviously not wanting to upset the "neighbors" at your club ;-)

Um, to quote a physician from the film "Idiocracy"... "your shit's all retarded." No offense, and I know that as a Canadian we suffer some of the same ridiculous rulings, but that's just absurd.
