Top shooter changing FP

Post by TB »

At the high level turnament in Pilsen (Czech-Republic) a few weeks ago Pavol Kopp from Slovenia won with 577 before the finals. He was shooting a MG5E and you should think that he would be rather pleased with the pistol after that score. However, at the WC in Fort Benning last week he was shooting a Morini.

I wonder why he changed pistol??

Perhaps he was trying the mg5e but for the big match went back to his usual cm84e (the one he used at belgrade 2010 world cup)

He may also have sponsorship deals, who knows, but unlike many most top shooters know it isnt the gun that shoots the scores. I'm sure he's trained with both and is comfortable with them. Neustrev has done the same in air pistol with the Benilli Kite.

kopp used the mg-5e to come in 6th place today. pablo carrera from spain also used a mg-5e to come 5th. so 2 out 8 for matchguns. i would say a good result
