Well folks, still having trouble with the izh not firing.
Here is the latest wrinkle. It fires every time when there is not pellet in the chamber. But put a pellet in the chamber and it won't fire.....Except it will sometimes go off when I am closing the latch on the breech, just before it is closed. Any ideas?
Still need help with izh 46 m

izh 46m
Before I had my izzy tuned by Mac 1, I had that same issue.
I used a variety of pellets at first and some were tight in the breech.
If I was not careful to really press hard to seat them, it seemed that the gun would
not fire. After checking closely, I noticed that some of the pellets
were deformed by the closing of the breech. This pevented MY gun from
firing. I stopped using the tight/oversized pellets and that helped. I
also polished the breech just a little bit to get rid of any burs and allow the
pellets to seat a bit lower. I currently use RWS Basic pellets with no problem.
