identify front sight

Post by Pete Forttrell »

Hopefully someone knows what brand/model sight this is. Looks like a Redfield Globe but insert instead of "ears", uses a wider outer ring on the top "half" at a cant similar to the way Redfield uses ears to ensure insert is inserted in the correct direction. The rear screw-on portion is knurled like a Redfield at its rear end. It screws onto the threaded portion of the front end (that has the insert slit in it) and is larger than the front portion and completely encloses the insert and rear edge of the non-threaded front section in front of the insert when screwed home. There is an incised dart shape on either side of the front portion near the halves separation to help in insert removal. I need to get more insert sizes for this sight but don't know where/how to obtain them or whether they are obtainable. Please help? Thanks ! Pete
