Is This a Tau-7 Main Seal?

Post by Gwhite »

The MIT pistol team has a large number of Tau-7's, some of which are showing their age. I found one of these in a parts drawer labeled "Tau-7", and an unlabeled bag of about a dozen more. I'm hoping that these are replacement main internal seals. I found instructions on-line about how to replace the old seals:

However, never having had one dismantled that far, I was hoping to at least get confirmation that we have the correct parts. I'm guessing the black metal bit goes forward, and the plastic end is what the spring loaded valve seats against.

Thanks!

Looks like it. The other seals that come with the Tau 7 are black.

Thanks! Yes, pretty much everything else is a fairly conventional metric O-ring. I'm going to try to catalog the sizes as I take a few apart.
