Anschutz soft link verses hard link

What does he soft link do? I think mine came with the hard link, and I am a little apprehensive about experimenting with it. Does anyone have a preference? Thanks.

The air rifle has an option to swap out some rubber washers. I think I read it was for recoil, but in an air rifle I feel no recoil anyway. So I never swapped it out on my old 9003, and I was just thinking about changing them on my new Precise 9003. I just don't want to upset the bedding, but they must give them for a reason. I could not find them mentioned in the new catalog, but they are in my spare parts kit. So I guess they are a silly option that no one uses, because there are no comments?

If they are spare parts, they could just be replacements in case the old ones need replacing.

My maxim is if it isn't broken don't mess with it, otherwise it soon may be...
