Excessive head space

Mine is up to .049". Multiple folks have told me my cases should rupturing on a somewhat regular basis, but the gun still shoots. I placed 15th 3p at Perry last summer and had a 20X at 100 yards last May to go with a number of other 20x targets at 50 yards.

I was wondering if anyone had any theories on how the gun is still managing to shoot.

The SAAMI maximum is 0.051, so the reason your rifle still works is it's within spec:-)
