GSG 1911's in 22lr

Has any tried one of the GSG 1911 style 22lr pistols that ATI is importing?

People seem to like them, but I haven't seen much on their accuracy.[/img]

I talked to a buddy the other night who had one. He didn't think it was super accurate. He also said he had trouble getting the elevation right. It has fixed sights and the front sight is plastic. He tried all three front sights that came with the pistol and none of them got the elevation low enough. He contacted Brownells to see if he could get an adjustable sight to fit and they had no experience with the pistol and couldn't recommend a rear adjustable sight. He did say that the GSG was a well-built pistol and reliable. He sold his, but that is not a slam to the pistol. He buys new guns all the time and sells them shortly thereafter.

From what I've read, the sight cuts are standard dovetails w/ the rear being a Novak.

Are they steel, or a cast alloy like the Chiappas 1911's?

Also Browning is coming out with an 85% scale 1911 22lr that looks interesting.
