Morini CM800E

Post by DanielSwe »

Bought one of these used for just above 380$. Works very well, and shoots where I point it too (ofcourse, only tens all day!)

But! Haven't been able to find any info on it. Have any of you, oh mighty gods of this excellent forum, got any info on it?
Its CO2-driven..

When I Googled it I got a lot of hits on non-English sites.

Well, you google a Swiss built, Italian-designed pistol from times before the Internet, don't be surprised that nobody bothered to translate them into the almighty english...

When it's CO2, it should be labelled CM1000E. The CM800E is a Airmatch-Evolution pneumatic pistol, has a side-lever. They share the same frame, so it's well possible that someone switched the CA unit for the CO2 tanks. I have both, but the manual only for the CM800E, so not very useful for you. It's a late 1980s model and not very common, replaced pretty fast by the 162E (which was one of the earliest CA pistols on the market). The electronics are very similar, but not identical to the 162E / 102E and AFAICS not compatible. There are no grips available, even from Morini, and spare parts may be an adventure.

Thanks for interesting info!
After buying it I did 20 warmup-shots to get a feel of it, then we had a club championship the next day.
Shot one 90 and a 94 then 95s and 96s, so no doubt it sits snuggly in my hand. Too bad the barrel is 10mm so the Swedish-built compensator don't fit.
Is there any difference in how the compensator works between air and CO2?

So much for Morini - the barrel on my CM1000E is 12mm, the one on my CM800E 11mm. Generally, comps should work the same way all over - try talking to Ronny Nilsson, I'm sure he can do a comp for a 10mm or 11mm barrel.

Thanks Daniel! The pistol does look akin to other Morini airpistols. Thanks again for expanding upon my airpistol info. Regards for the New Year, Dwaine.
