Need Help IZH46 Breech Seals

Post by TomJ »

I've had an IZH 46 for about one year, the gun is great. While shooting the other evening, the breech arm poped open blowing both seals off. I replaced both seals, it seemed like no big deal, but now the breech arm will not lock under the sliding breech cover. It will, however, lock without the seal that mates against the barrel. What didn't I do properly? Everything looks "good." Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tom
make sure your seal are in correctly. other than that nothing else should have happened . I had that happen to me once and the seals have a right and a wrong way to them.

SEALS

My guess is you have them in backwards. The wider edge of the seals skirt goes into the cocking arm's holes and seats in a flange. You'll have to work them in and under the lip of the hole.

Mike and Keith,
Thanks for your help. I hate to admit it, put yes I put the seals in backwards. I put them in the proper way and guess what the gun works just fine. Thanks again
