Why is it that small bore shooters seem to obsess about barrels but air rifle shooters seem to be happy with the stock barrels from the manufacturers?
Serious question from a newish shooter.

we are fine with the accuracy level of air rifles. a factory air rifle can hold so tightly that a ten shot group can hold a pellet in the paper by its skirt. Literally one whole groups.
In smallbore we cannot achieve that level of accuracy yet. and also if you think about it the 10 ring is proportionally much smaller on the 50 meter smallbore target than the 10 meter air rifle target.
