question: open air

I want to start participating in competitions but I don't yet understand the jargon. Can someone tell me what "Open Air Pistol" is?

Is it similar to indoors?
* 60 shots
* 105 minutes
* one shot per bull
* 10M distance

It sounds to me that it is an Air Pistol competition that is Open to anybody to enter (as opposed to one that is restricted, for example, to club members).
