Compatible notebook for SCATT?

Hello!
In order to run a SCATT system on a note book,what notebook should I choose?
I meen,what program,memory etc(I am not familiar with PC's or notebooks...)

I am not sure about MACs but for windows the only real spec you need is a 32 bit processor. A newer computer will not run the SCATT program (yet).

i have run scatt USB on 32bit windows 7 and 64 bit windows.
it also runs on my netbook with xp on it.
so pretty much any windows xp up works fine for me.

If you have an older pre usb scatt you need a notebook with serial port.
I am using a Dell Latitude 610.

As David says just use a decent serial to usb converter. I upgraded my notebook last year and it now works fine. The one thing you will need to do in scatt is to change the option to 'enable legacy devices'. Without that the serial scatt and the software won't talk to each other.
