Steyr LP10/LP10E short barrel ?
Recently the Australian Steyr importer had mentioned to a friend of mine that Steyr were considering producing LP10's in short barrel...does anyone have any further information ?

I'm pretty sure they've produced some custom models already, so perhaps they're thinking of actually making them into production models.deadeyedick wrote:Recently the Australian Steyr importer had mentioned to a friend of mine that Steyr were considering producing LP10's in short barrel...does anyone have any further information ?

I know that Harry Preston (Steyr UK) has produced some specials including short LP50s and LP2 barrelled LP10s.RobStubbs wrote:I'm pretty sure they've produced some custom models already, so perhaps they're thinking of actually making them into production models.
The LP@ light was actually a short barrel LP10. Now that Anschutz doesn't produce ir anymore, it would make sense that Steyr propose a short barrel high end model.
Also it seems that Steyr is trying to have a pistol in each segment, therefore they introduce the LP10E and LP50E, the only missing type is short barrel high end.

I own one compact since last week.
I didn't tested it yet. But I feel that the pistol is OK. Classic LP 10 was too heavy on the muzzle for me.

Till now I did it only in free pistol (I have enough sights for TOZ). Standard LP 10 have not options at all - only standard 4.5mm front sight (or non standard for extra charge).Makris D. G. wrote:Somewhat off topic, but do you adjust your front sight for different conditions?
It is good to have options.
