Bleiker barrel action

Post by isheynis »

Does anyone know what "centering the rim of a cartridge" means. As this technology may be proprietary information, does it in fact produce tighter groups (per personal test-firing) and warrant a higher price over the Walther and Anschutz barrels? Thanks.

The only thing I can make of that is that the bolt picks up the cartridge and guides it into the chamber cleanly so that the bullet does not hit the side of the chamber. The second possibility Is that it's a bad translation of the German. I don't know who makes Bleiker's barrels. I once heard a rumor that an American maker (Lilja?) was supplying them. If that's the case, then I would ssay that the average Bleiker barrel is better than the average Walther or Anschutz barrel. Mike Barron
