Steyr Grip?

Post by spacestout »

I have this grip, pictured below, and wonder what it fits. Looks like it might be for a Steyr LP1. Has a 1990 sticker on it and a 6 (size?) on the bottom. Probably a small to medium.

Other question is can hardened putty be removed?

The puddy looks like Bondo body filler. If that is the case, paint remover will break it down and bubble it up. It won't do it all at once, but will soften a thin layer each time you apply it.

the grip is for a Steyr LP-1. And the wood underneath the putty has been extensively modified.
