Aguila SSS, 22 Long Rifle 60 Grain

Has anyone used this for practice?
I've read about it, but have being unable to get a hold of any in Australia.

I would skip it and use 40 gr target ammo.

The 60 gr bullet is very long and does not stabilize well in most standard .22LR barrels.

Sigh: I guess no-one has yet used them with a 1:7 twist barrel.

Since I can't get them (the bullets), it will have to remain a "one day" project.

I tried them in a 1:9 twist AR15 with a .22 LR Ciener conversion kit. Accuracy was no better or worse than standard .22 LR at 25 yards. When i moved the targets back to 50 yards they were going sideways through the cardboard.

Haven't had the chance to try them in my other AR15's.

Others I've talked with reported good results in 1:7 AR15's with the conversion kits.

I was curious about it's wind-bucking abilities mainly, heavy bullet etc., for a "*pig's ear*" bench-rest rifle.

* Can't turn a pig's ear into a silk purse, but with some work you can turn it into a nice leather pouch.*
