Group purchase initiative

Post by Charlotte »

I am working on a group purchase of Russian match rifles. These guns are as accurate as the Anschutz but cost far less and include sights.
You can see the rifles I'm referring to at
http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/ural-5-1.shtml
We are in the earliest stage of trying to gather interested buyers so we don't have any idea about cost yet, but to give you a little perspective
I bought an Izhamash CM-2 for $400 that included sights, sling and cleaning rod. Now the rifle retails for about $590. It's not as pretty as an Anschutz, but mine will out shoot my 1907 that I bought new in July 2008.
The importer isn't interested in importing the better match rifles because they aren't sure about how they would sell.
This might be a good way for some clubs to get decent rifles at better prices. My e-mail is charlottehenry@comcast.net

Sorry, just an aside...I discovered the IZH website earlier this summer. Amazing how you can peruse the air guns...then switch gears and check out the anti-tank missle launchers.
Only in Russia!

Why not work through Mac Tilton. He sells IZH, and he is an upstanding dealer? He has the CM2 in stock.

So you can look at their anti-tank firearms. What's your point? They can not be deversified as a company. Big deal.
