New Leauge
Hello all, we are trying to start an air gun leauge and I am trying to figure out what airguns we should use in our program. What do you guys recommend for an entry level leauge?

Unfortunantly, I think the answer to your question is a lot of questions
How much money are you willing to spend? (You also need to buy pellets, a lot of pellets, targets, pellet traps, and maybe a range)
Will these be the property of a club or of the people involved? How many people will be using them?
If you buy a c02 or PCP rifle, will you be able to afford the equipment needed to fill them? (For some PCP's you need a scuba tank, I'm not sure if it has to be a specialised scuba tank or not.) Do you know how to use C02 fill equipment? If you don't know how find someone who knows. If you use the c02 equipment incorrectly you can get dry ice burns
Will there be kids involved? If there are, you need especially durable, drop-resistant guns. I understand some aluminum stock rifles aren't especially drop-resistant. You will probably also want singe-shots.
My local club uses 888s and feinwerkbaus. The feinwerkbaus have insanely light triggers, which is good for shooting, yet somewhat dangerous for kids. The 888s might be too small for some people and their triggers are bad, at least at first.

I made it a point in my junior program to get 4 air rifles to we could field a team at a single relay match. I suppose that would be a minimum for a league. You're looking at $1100 each for precision pcp guns at a minimum, putting just the cost of guns at $4400. The 888s run a few hundred a piece (I don't pay much attention to sporter air rifle). The shooting clothes for precision run $260 each.
You should look at sporter. It was designed to help get people into shooting with minimum financial strain.

How old are the kids? You could try the avanti 499. I don't have any experiance with them, so I don't know how kid-proof they will be. It is a muzzleloading BB gun, so safety might be a concern with this,. They also weigh only 3 pounds so ability to shoot them with accuracy is a concern. From what I've heard, I think that they can hit the 9 ring on the 10 meter air rifle target when shooting at 5 meters, when using good ammo. I don't know if that's consistent or not. It won't be easy when it only weighs 3 pounds. Finally, the stock might be too small for some kids.
