Does anyone know if the cheekpiece on the new Anschutz 1918 stock
will fit older style Anschutz stocks?
I'd like to be able to tweak my cheekpiece a bit more and was wondering if this was an option (without hacking up the stock altogether).
Yes, it would be expensive and kind of fugly. . . .

Fitting new cheekpiece to old stock

No, it won't.
McMillan used to make a cheek piece component that allowed you to adjust it much like the later walnut stock cheek pieces. Jeff Doerschler had one on his rifle. Unfortunately, I haven't seen one available anywhere in ages. I wonder if Ernest at ESP could make something comparable? I'd sure love to have one on mine as well, as I felt that was the biggest improvement for me when I was using an aluminum stock back in college.
