Shooting at J.O. ?
The single bull targets will be a new experience at the J.O's for my son.we normally shoot on the 10 bull target and sometimes on electronic targets. My ? is a spoting scope not needed for the single bull paper target. Thanks
In the Air Rifle competition they use target carrier/return systems
No scope is needed as a push of a button brings your fired target back to you and you load a new one in. Another press and the target zips downrange to the trap.
He will be given a stack of 4 sighter targets and 60 numbered record targets.
Make sure he has on his checklist prior to shooting, to go thru all the targets and make sure he does not have extras or any missing numbers.
If he has any questions or issues, just raise the hand and an RO will come over .... that's what they are there for.
He will need his offhand stand. The tables are at about waist height and he will place his rifle on that instead of the floor.
It will also really help if he gets there early enough for training the day before .... just peeked at his schedule ... Thurs noon to 5pm, if he cannot make that then there is another session on Fri 9-11.
Did he make 1st round? If so tell him NOT to pig out at the cafeteria .... it's WAAAAAYYY to easy to overeat there your first time.

Hope that helps .... tell him "Deep 10's!"
