Has anyone had any experience with this rifle. It sounds like it would make an ideal silhouette rifle. What joules would you recommend? What weight pellets are necessary at the higher velocities?

I don't own one but I have shot one and I think it would be a really good choice for open class sil rifle. I will likely look at buying one myself whenever I decide to upgrade from my S400 for Open class. As with my other Steyrs the trigger is sweet and the build quality is top notch. I have a Steyr 10m SSP I use for Target Class and a Steyr M9 9mm I use for kickin ass :) Hard to go wrong with the Steyr line. I also really like the Walther Dominator series for potential high end Open class rifle.

Thanks for the reply. Seems this rifle is not widely used. It still looks like a great sil weapon. If I buy one I'll let you know how it shoots.
