I'm almost embarassed to mention an old modified Margolin [short butt] I have, in the company of hammerli, AW93 Walther etc. Second-hand when I bought it 25 years ago, it has NEVER had a failure to feed or eject. Lost count of the number of bricks of ammo through it. The small number of misfires hav...

Verbal I have also looked at the KSP, but here in Oz you have to be VERY careful of buying an orphan that will have no resale value. Especially if there are warranty problems [as you say] with the KSP, you may end up with a fishing sinker I would like the IZH air pistol, but no dealers will import t...

As I have mentioned before - blinders 40mm instead of 30mm make no difference on score. I am a bit confused only, because ISSF force us to follow that rule TO KEEP shooting in Olimpic programme, and at the same time ISSF referees allow to break the rule exactly in the Olimpic finals! (nb. in air ri...

Re: Front sight
I'm new here, looking forward to good information. I'm curious as to what front sight most competitive shooters use. ie. post, cross hairs, circle etc. Thanks in advance for input, Ken I think you may have to be more specific as to the match/event and whether its pistol or rifle. The posts above al...

IZH-46M in Australia???
There seems to be lots of talk on the IZH-46 air pistol on sites. The general responses are that they are good value for money. Here in Australia, I have yet to see/hear of one. I am looking for a new A/P, and the IZH looks like the goods for me. Does anyone know if a dealer imports these pistols in...

I know what Alex's reasoning could be. Here in Australia, with the increased restrictions of gun ownership, R/F pistols could? just be deemed an illegal pistol and handed in/seized by the Govt., as the current R/F pistol will be illegal for Olympic style events. The new laws restrict pistol ownershi...

Pardon my ignorance, but why is the .32 shot gauged to .38? I'm sure a .38 shooter would love to have his shots gauged with a .44 gauge. If a .32 shooter have an advantage of lower bore, trigger adjustment etc, why the gauge difference? If I remember correctly, maybe 20 - 30 yrs ago, the .32 gauge W...

If you are trying to concentrate in Free pistol, I would say the electronic earmuffs would be a distraction, as they pick up EVERY little sound thats around you. Even the click/clack of the action being reloaded 3 bays away. You would end up turning the volume right down/off, so whats the point. The...
