Bowling shoes

I found a pair of used Dexter bowling shoes which seem perfect. They have a flat, fairly stiff sole. I was just wondering about the rule that the soles must bend at least 22.5 degrees when a force of 15 Newton-Meters is applied to the heel area while the boot or shoe is clamped in the testing device...

Nike or Saurer?

It sure looked like a swoosh to me but you may be right now that I take a closer look at it.

Thanks

I will check out the Vans.

We shoot a lot of outdoor matches where we have to walk down to the target line to change targets.

It is usually dirt or wet grass between the firing line and the targets (50 M)

Any suggestions about shoes?

Thank you

I appreciate all of your responses. I will just find a pair of flat bottom shoes and go with those. Thanks again

Nike shoes

The only place I saw them was a photo of Olena Kostevych shooting in them

No Longer Available

I checked with Nike and found that they no longer make that shoe. She also checked all Nike owned stores, warehouse's, and 3rd party retailers and no one has any.

Oh well.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the Nike Simadi pistol shooting shoe in North America?

Size Lens

Both Knobloch and Varga offer 37 mm for pistol. I purchased Knobloch glasses years ago and I hardly ever need more than just the center of the lens.

I would go with the 32mm lens size from Champion if I were you. It would take up less room.

Just my 2 cents worth

Not so Cheap

According to what Don Nygord wrote, there is no one lens that is right for all shooting conditions. After you have 20-20 vision (either naturally or with a prescription) you will need 3 different lens depending on the lighting conditions. +.25, +.50, and +. 75 are generally what is needed. He sugges...

That is correct. I am looking at a package of 100 of those targets now. I have purchased 50 ft, 25 yard and 50 yard and meter targets so I can practice on the same target as any upcoming match.

Re: What is the first one?

My guess would be to see and experience something new and different from what they know.

Congratulations Gerald. It sounds like your rehab is going well. We have an average of 2 Air Pistol and 1 Free Pistol matches a month coming up through October here in Northern California, US with different clubs. I hope to get a lot of quality practice in between matches and score in the 550 to 560...

Russ, I will give you a test. I was shooting 550's AP and 530's FP in the 80's and early 90s when I quit.

I am 60 years old and in reasonably good shape. I started shooting again in December after a 15 year layoff. If I am not shooting 565 AP consistently by June, I will contact you to be evaluated.

USAS Matches

I think that if you get Prado going again, you can expect some shooters from Nor Cal to also attend. There are a number of shooters of both AP and FP always looking for more matches.
