Re: Accurize vs MantisX vs Scatt vs Trace

I shoot both Air Pistol and Free Pistol. I am only looking for the 'trace' of my pistol as I bring it into the aiming area and during my hold. I understand that the Scatt is a very good system but the Mantis X2 or Mantis X3 seem like they might be all I am looking for. Comments?

Re: Wavering and Leaning

Stan, do you have any issues with your balance in your life other than shooting? I am 73 and play golf and Pickleball, in addtion to shooting Free and Air Pistol. I have found that around a 45 to 60 degree stance works best for me. Everyone's body is different. You might check out this YouTube video...

Are you still looking for seals and a valve? You might try Olympic Marksman Equipment in Canada - https://www.ebay.com/itm/375381409982?_nkw=steyr+air+pistol&itmmeta=01J63XDH36WBZE0740N5PR1M96&hash=item576679c0be:g:nT4AAOSw~8hmIUO5&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKnW9Gvha1kKn...

Re: Pistol coaching from 4 times Olympian via Skype

I found Dina on the Internet and contacted her about her program. Although I had hoped to find a local instructor, what she said made sense to me so in August 2022 I started taking lessons from her over Skype. She first had me fill out a questionnaire about myself, age, shooting background, pistols ...

Re: Maddalena Earns Medals and U.S. Olympic Quota at Worlds

I remember watching her when she trained at the Modesto Rifle Club along with the California Grizzlies Junior Rifle Team. There have been some other shooters who have gone on to achieve International status. For a bit of a background see https://thecmp.org/former-member-of-california-grizzlies-junio...

Re: Air Pistol Hold and Gap Control

I found the same issue. Now I start with a blank target behind my shooting target and move the top target around so that I can get 20-25 shots on that target. Of course you have to have a little bit larger back board.

Re: Probably a book

Disregard this request. I believe that I have located the source, a book. A Shooter's Guide to Pistol Marksmanship by Allan Lozsan. It appears to be Australian and is long out of print.

Probably a book

I downloaded a pdf on-line about gripfitting however, I cannot find where it came from. The first part shows a Table of Contents broken up into different parts. 1. The Essential Skills; 2. The Matches; 3. Improving Performance; 4. Mental Skills; 5. General. There are 123 pages. The only section at t...

Modifing an older AP

I have an older Feinwerbau 2 CO2 pistol. The grip on top stops with the frame. More modern pistols have the grip extend over the top of the hand. Within the rules, can I attach a piece of wood under the frame to extend over the top of my hand? I have attached two photos showing the difference betwee...

I believe that the original question was about the cylinder attached to the pistol and now the one it is filled from.

Re: FWB90

I started shooting AP with a FWB 65. They then made the 80 and then the 90. I went to the FWB 2 (CO2) which I am just starting to shoot again. According to the manual, your 90 weighs 1350 g unless it is the short barrel which is 10 g less. https://forum.vintageairgunsgallery.com/feinwerkbau-pistols/...
