Re: Releasing the shot and Follow through.

Ernie (and Russ, indirectly)- Thanks for sharing that info. The topic of follow through does come up now and again on this forum, and even it's the same info in substance, but stated a little differently than what was said in another post, it's beneficial- hearing it phrased a different way might ve...

If this strategic secret which helps to bring Gold medal in US soul you will force me to share it too? :( So, can I assume by your statement that you aren't going to share whatever knowledge you might have on this forum because it might benefit a shooter from another country? If so, why are you her...

Fortitudo, indeed you guys have it much better than the Aussies. But other than the game shooting opportunities, in which you have us beaten by a long shot, we in the US still enjoy access to firearms that is virtually unrestricted. I need no license of ANY kind to own any kind of firearm except a ...

The big problem is that a terribly high proportion of shooters in this country don't like to face just how bad they really are. I've hung out on some of the same groups that Jose has, and he is understating the lameness of some of the excuses. I'm not sure how to cure this. We've tried being nice -...

Colored sights- what to use?

In the "center hold" thread Mike McDaniel posted a recommendation to try colored sights. Anyone have any recommendations on what to use to color the sights that would be removable should I find it doesn't work that well for me?

Thanks,

Rob.
Are you focusing on any particular aiming point when you do this, or just a general center-of-mass hold?

A lot of recommendations that I got were for skateboarding shoes. Found a pair of Vans at one of the discount shoe stores (Payless?) during a buy-one-get-one-half-off sale. Very comfortable shoes, and very stable.

well, I guess I was wrong.... Of our oly events, only the two 25m .22 events cannot be performed in UK under current rules, although few if any outside the UK have a free pistol that is long enough to be legal there. Re: noncycling MG2s

The question had better be: has anyone out there NOT had any trouble with the MG2? The answer is probably NO. I would recommend you not make generalizations based on one gun. My MG2 works flawlessly with any ammo that I feed it, and the people I know with MG-2's have also experiences similar to min...

If Western countries wish to feature in international events they will need to replace their supposed "freedoms" with a good dose of "hunger and desire". It seems that those follks disparaging the lack of US success in Olympic shooting need to look at their own home first. wer, ...

How do you practice/train?

I've been wondering, given the diverse group on this list, how each person practices? Do you have a set practice routine that you follow? Do you have any specific drills or exercises that you work on? Dry-fire or live-fire? Or do you just try to squeeze the trigger as often as possible while focusin...
