Re: Anschutz 54 trigger
Butch: It depends on the trigger. The older triggers pull weight is set but two things - a spring and a cam. To get that low you'll need a different cam. They are just a little sheet metal piece that you can make with a bandsaw and a file.

Re: USAS-50 Scoring Gauge
Because it’s all so tight near the middle it needs to be scored with an outside scoring gauge.

Re: ANS 5018/1907 trigger screws needed
gstewart has it right. The screw lengths are 17mm for the m5 front screw and 11.6mm for the m3.5 rear screw. They have an integral flat washer/lock washer combo that results in an effective length of 14.4mm for the front screw and 9.7mm for the rear screw.

Re: Powder Scale Recommendations
I've had an rcbs 5-0-5 scale for lots of years. I also have the check weights. This is a very good quality and accurate scale. I'd recommend to any person want to get into reloading to buy one of these then spend the rest of your life collecting various fancy accessories that may or may not work out...

Re: ANS 5018/1907 trigger screws needed
I think I have some. If Anschutz NA doesn't pan out PM me. I looked and I have a bag of what I think are the front screws and a bag of the back screws. I'd want to verify, by checking them on one of my rifles first, but I think that's what they are. I'd prefer to let the guys that sell parts for a l...

It also looks like the loading port is very open to both sides. More so than most other actions.

Re: Rear sight for FWB 700
Nothing wrong with buying the latest wizbang thing that will guarantee you a win but I'd like to put in a plug for the FWB rear sight. These are simple and very reliable. Don't try to put it on an Anschutz dovetail. I have a few broken ones that people tried to put on an Anschutz, it cracks the fram...

Re: Need trigger help for Anschutz 1451/Achiever rifles
Sorry but the there isn't much that can be done to improve the 1451 trigger. It's a much different design from the Anschutz 1903 trigger or any of the other Anschutz match triggers. Very poor design plunger mechanism.

Re: Air Rifle Grip Stippling
I’ve done some but don’t have any pictures of it. Those guns are long gone. I have a hand held air hammer that i used. I ground little points onto one of the chisles. I used a pressure regulator starting real low on the pressure. Try it first on test piece of similar wood. After it was done I staine...

Nice work! I was up on your web site reading the theory of operation. It appears from that (I did not read in super detail) that the system has the resolution to discern to a tenth of a scoring ring for pistol. How about for rifle? Seems like it might not have the resolution for a tenth of a point i...

Re: how tight of a group required for Olympic 50m .22 rifle
It also depends on how good a shooter you are. For 95% of shooters just any old good shooting target rifle will be fine and these discussions of rifle accuracy are a waste of time. These shooters should just buy a quality rifle that fits and shoots well then spend the the rest of their wad on sk sta...

If you have a company of more than one person you can't control everything everybody does. Sometimes stuff gets screwed up in unreasonable ways. A good company will do this infrequently and when it happens they will make it right. Move on.

Re: Removable Scope Options For 54:30
I make a series of rings for 11mm dovetails in heights between .5" and 1.5". No rails yet though yet though. I also make some thumb screws that can be used with the anschutz rails. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Scope-Rings-for-11mm-and-3-8-Dovetails-fits-Anschutz-and-CZ-1-Scope/264268435836?has...

Re: Need Help Scoring a 10 Meter Target...
I agree with Pat McCoy. Read the rules. From my experience the only objective way to score one of these targets are with the inner and outer gauges. My experience predates apps and many of the electronic scoring methods that are now available. The way the paper tears it often messes up the ring that...

I agree with what Tim said. I have spoken with quite a few pretty good shooters who's dominant eye was opposite how they shoot and it did not seem to affect them.

Pretty cool attending a rifle match in a 14,000 seat coliseum!
A big congrats goes to WVU coach Jon Hammond for pulling this together! He worked a long time for this.

Re: 11mm Dovetail to Picatinny Adaptor
Smallborebuyer: I agree with Prodigal son there is no advantage to a picatinney rail adapter for this application. Buy a set of dedicated rings and it will result in a much simpler and reliable solution. Now for a sales pitch- I have a machine shop business and have started to make scope rings for 1...

Pardini K60 Filling Question
I have spent most of my life over on the rifle side but now I have an airgun question. I just bought a nice Pardini K60. I already had a FWB model 2 so am familiar with that and filling it. I have a 5lb co2 tank without syphon tube so I need to turn it over. Anyway, the pardini came with white o rin...

Re: Shortening smallbore rifle barrels
I agree with what beye said. I have also shortened a number of target rifle barrels. If you slug many of these barrels you will find the slug is very loose in the middle section of the barrel. If you cut it here you probably will not have good accuracy in the end. Slug your barrel first and see what...
