Re: Jacket vs no jacket and expectations

If you have a friend/ cohort/spouse that understands enough to know what you're trying to accomplish, I might suggest the "ball and dummy" (I think it's called) drill. You take the shot, they are standing beside you, on the right for a right-handed shooter, you open the action and hand the...

Re: FWB 600 shooting high

Only if the rear sight was mounted on the stock (instead of on the action/receiver) and the rear of the action was raised (proud) of the stock could the result be low shots --- highly unlikely situation ...???? Not that this applies here, show me wrong.

Replacement trigger blade (shoe??) for T200

I thought I remembered a recent mention in TT of a metal replacement that fits the dovetail on the trigger bar ( if that's what it's called) on the CZ/T200, but no joy in my search. All I've seen is one at Pyramid Air but the specs only say it is for the IZH46M and in the question section an answer ...

Eurosimulator training program

This was a (IMO) great program some years back, could be used as a training aid, was a way to see what sight alignment/picture a shooter was seeing, and had realistic adjustability for sighting-in. The originator (Danish) died and the site either no longer exists, or is stashed somewhere else and I ...

shoebox compressor o-rings

Does anyone have contact info for Tom Kaye, or have the specs for the rebuild kit (5 0-rings X 2 cylinders) for the Freedom 10, or any idea how to find this information? I've searched in here and in two other airgun sites. Thanks

Re: Inroducing new member

What Rover said .... also ... since you have fixed sights on the Crosman, work on a consistent and proper sight picture (search ???) and shoot for smallest group on the same area of the target. When you step up to adjustable sights (your next pistol), you can adjust point of impact and you've alread...

Re: Walther GSP speeloader

It took some time, but I've hand cut and fitted similar devices for the Shield EZ, Browning 1911-22, and Buckmark magazines out of 1/4 inch Lexan scraps. Also for Weatherby MK XII, all have external tabs to press down to facilitate loading. They aren't as pretty as GWhite's but they work probably as...

Re: Air tank

What is the possibility, or drawbacks, of using a 300 BAR tank and regulating it down to 200 BAR between the scuba tank and fill adapter? I've wondered about this for some time. Would it just turn out to be a plumbing nightmare or cost prohibitive? Serious question.....

Re: How do you dispose your pellets?

4-H Shooting Sports muzzleloading club gets everything from our 4HSS airgun program.... worth looking into. Heck, you might even get it classed as a charitable donation ( though it's pretty tough to beat the standard deduction these last two years!) Dare I say, GO DONALD!!!???

co2/PCP rifle storage (cylinders )

What is the consensus on putting these rifles (888/887, T200, Challenger and the like) up for (a) a few days to a week and (b) for 6 - 9 months? Cocked or not? We leave CBIs in place with both ends showing in which case the action can't be closed and is probably cocked. Loosen/ remove CO2 or CA cyli...

decades ago I had the same situation with Herter's brass, don't remember how I decapped them, but then just drilled them out, deburred flash holes, no more problem

Re: New Daisy 599 sportster rifle

Just a side note to Joel's comment on a larger cylinder ---- Crosman's 1701 pistol charges to 200 bar, hopefully the Challenger will be upgraded to the same in the near future. ( Are you listening, Crosman? Have you had any similar suggestions/requests? Inquiring minds want to know!)

Re: Avanti 887/888 Troubleshooting

Take the action out of the stock and remove the pellet that someone dropped in the wrong opening -- instead of the chamber. Sometimes you can get it out by turning the rifle on its side or upside down and shaking it, sometimes disassembly is required. Not at all uncommon with beginning shooters, our...

Re: Young Shooter Advice

if you want to share some fun, "semi-scored" shooting with him, or another young shooter with him, try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QFOB4Q4/ref=dp_cerb_2. I use these for our fun shoots in 4-H, I cover the hit zones with pasters from the "shoot-n-see" targets...
