Mannel AP one and Sam K15/SAM Free Pistol - discussion

I wonder if any shooters can share their experience and thoughts on the Mannel AP One/Expert and the SAM line of air pistols (current version is SAM K15.) I recall shooting a first generation SAM AP and it hand an excellent trigger. I suspect it has evolved over the years, I'm just not aware how. It...

Cleaning a free pistol compensator

The recent discussion on compensators has sparked my interest in how people clean their compensator. The short and long Morini compensators have their unique cleaning challenges as does the Matchguns MG5 comp. With my CM84, I gave up cleaning it and went with the plain sight holder/tube. I welcome y...

FISU 4th World University Shooting Championships

A small team of Canadian shooters will be traveling to the match and I was curious to know if other nations were sending a team as well.

Norinco FP

I came across this image of what is reported to be a Norinco Free Pistol. I was wondering if anyone had any information about this pistol. I resembles a Toz 35 in some aspects.

Thanks Brian

I own an early MG2 and a MG2RFE, the MG2 series of pistols have under gone quite an evolution. The current generation of pistol is quite reliable, but requires more care and attention that your average pistol. However, its brilliant to shoot.

The Morini CM22 might be vialbe option as well. A Parini with the weights in the muzzle shroud removed might be fairly light weight.

I would rule out the Matchguns MG2 if you're looking to avoid a muzzle heavy pistol.

Good luck in your search,

I would strongly suggest you look at the Browning Buckmark, our club replaced its Ruger MK I, with MKIII and while they have held reasonablly well, they are a pain to clean in a club enviroment. The 1911 GSG liley would not hold up in our club. Used Walther GSPs might be another option. Brian in Ott...

You may want to try posting your question on Targetshooting.ca

I've heard about the same book, but I have never seen it. I heard Tommy Guin, Ca DN shooter from that era is in the photos.

Good luck and please let us know what you find,

Thank you for all the responses. I am looking for an electronic target rather than a trainier (Rika, Scatt, Noptel, SAM).

I personally use a wifi camera and it meets my needs. Its more of a replacement for a scope than an electronic target.

Opinion on home Electronic targets

I’m trying to help a shooter decide which electronic target system to purchase. I’ve shot on a few different target systems over years at matches, but have no experience with the personal/home use models. Which is why I’m hoping some shooters on here can share their thoughts. Initial cost is a facto...

To all Hämmerli FP60 users Hello, I was wondering if you could suggest the ammunition of entry level for the FP60. For the moment I would not like to invest on costlier ammunition. I have tried the CCI standard velocity and the SK standard plus till now. The CCI standard looks to be better adapted ...
