Good stuff and I will for sure keep an eye on the ramp in the bolt. Any thoughts on keeping a spare firing pin around?

Re: Strange Position of butt plate
I have a butt plate like yours and, in my opinion, the hook is very straight and prevents adjust the buttplate in the armpit.
Try another buttplate or use one without hook.

Whatever it is the load system the only solution is the automatic and mechanical repetition of movements.

Re: Anschutz 1813 Action Screw Question
If I remember correctly standard washer stack were to ensure tightening torque using the long key that came with the rifle .
With a torque wrench I think standard washer stack can be smoothly put off.

Re: Let's talk about aperture sight options.
I've got an old 1960's rear Anschutz sight and it still functions perfectly. What's the saying. .... buy once, cry once Take care with the rear sights. The threaded bolts wear with use and get to have clearances that modify the corrections. From time to time you have to check them with a micrometer.
