I will chime in here. I bought the aluminum large case from Harbor freight for both mine and my son's IZH46 pistols. These boxes are only $25.00 on sale and you can use a 20% off coupon as well. They work great for these guns. Here is what it looks like. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn282/gold...

Sharing my 1911 with new grips pictures of what I am making

Hey fellas, Here is my 1911 with some new walnut target grips I just finished up. Some of you may have read awhile back I made a comment I was getting into the grip bizz/hobby and will be making grips for the IZH 46 and several others. I have not been able to post here or say anything more as I have...

I am also looking for a sight for my Ruger Mark III. I too have been looking at the "value" sights at the major auction site and I see pricy ones or the cheap ones. I need a sight that is good enough but will not break the bank. I hope someone can chime in on this for us. I was thinking th...

wear ear plug and muff might help I second that. You have to double up! Foam plugs in the ears and a good set of ear muffs. I was at our indoor range last month and ended up with a guy shooting a .45 auto next to me. He was setting off my free pistol when he would shoot. It was very dangerous and c...

Hey all, I just want to drop a line and let you guys know I am working on the grips for these now. I have been at this project for the last 2 months. I just got a bunch of wood in today. Some very very nice wood grips for the IZH 46 are just around the corner. I will post some pictures in the next f...

I have a Ruger Mk III and did the Volkquartsen trigger kit myself. It is not a huge deal if you feel at all mechanically inclined and have a little patience. It definitely improves the trigger. There are good YouTube walk throughs on installation. Thanks I was most curious if it was worth the $120....

I just picked up a new Ruger Mark III a few weeks ago. It is the slab side competition target model. I have only burned a few hundred rounds so far but I think I really need to do the trigger kit from Volquartsen. Is this the trigger kit in your gun? Did you do it yourself and what do you think?

I could see a good glove being helpful in cases where hand perspiration was causing stability, issues. Rosin or chalk might be options, but it isn't very desirable to have such powders near a precision valve where contamination could cause problems. Or if a grip was slightly too small a glove might...

Rules on wearing gloves for pistol comps?

Hi fellas,
Is there any regulation on wearing gloves when pistol shooting? I have been digging around but cannot seem to find much for a confirmed answer. Any advice here would be great! The ISSF rules say NO visiable support at the wrist but what about a simple shooting glove?
Thanks,
Jason
