Little Rock

I hope to have the honor of seeing and speaking with you at Little Rock. Bubba will be there on Friday only. Please be careful when you cross the state line going into Arkansas. Your IQ will drop a few points, happens to everybody to some extent. If you do not stay in Arkansas you will regain the lo...

Felt Pellets

When I use felt pellets to clean the bore, I spray then with Rem-Oil and insert them in the barrel from the breech end. Puch them forward and then load a pellet behind the felt pellet. Then fire the pistol or rifle. Most of the time I use a pull through, but once in a while, if I am in a hurry, the ...

Corporate Jet

Scott, I enjoyed them pictures of them dudes shooting with two hands. I am impressed that there was a $350.00 prize. But nothing is more impressive than your new corporate jet. Don't know where the kids ride or how you load, stow and secure the cargo, but I bet you got it figgured out. Now we know h...

Unvieled Steyr 10m rifles ????

Ok, good looking rifles. What are the differences in the two. Looks like one has an action similar to the LG-100, and the other, the LP-20 does not. Is the LP-20 some kind of relabled Anschutz? Sent you all the way to Germany and you bring back these vague discriptions. When will these rifles be ava...

Cone of Protection

Luftrick, Thank you for providing the photograph. Solid proof of the existance of the Cone of Protection on some Edleman targets. We should aknowledge that Edleman is not the only target that the Cone Of Protection effects. In fact the COP may affect the POI on any target in random sequence, and may...

Information overload

Robert, From your post, I get the idea that you were able to assimilate and use a lot of the information regarding the prone position. That's great. I skipped to the standing position information. Read it all. The next day I got out the old RWS 75 SU, and tried to apply all that I had read. Took me ...

Some thoughts and half baked ideas

Ok, I am shooting wothout jacket and pants, glove or boots. Wear a t-shirt and sweat pants or shorts, depending on season. Shoes are deck shoes, with or without socks, depending on season. Shoot mainly indoors, with target at proper distance and height. Light on target is fine and light at shooting ...

Now, that's what i'm talking about

Joel, I graduated from High School in 1965. So, I am about 10 years your senior. I went to high school on the 4 year plan, instead of the optional 5 year plan, but just barely. So, I am 57 years old. I used to see a weight gain in the winter, followed by a leight loss in the spring and summer. It wa...

Fat, old 10 m rifle shooters

I got the book "Way of the Rifle' as a Christmas guift. i also got a book on Bench rest shooting. After perusing both books and reading that which I had found immediately interesting, I made an observation. Had me one of them epifinies. Lie in the old catroon drawings, a light bulb came above m...

FWB 103

I bought a nearly new FWB-103 about 3 years ago. I have used it a lot. On a good pistol day, I will usually shoot as well with it as anything I own or have owned. The good FWB quality build. Good materials and workmanship. Front sight inserts available in different widths. Rear sight adjustable for ...

Please. If it can be done please keep the High Noon Competition going. December is a tough month for getting anything done but please the family. Appreciate the replies

Mike, I did not rely on the internet in my search for competition. I went to every gun shop, and range that I could find. I asked questions and looked of fliers. I called the ranges that were listed and the two gun clubs I could find. I can find bench rest, shot gun, Cow boy and M-1/AR-15 groups. Ba...

Where are the CO-2 10 m rifles

I notice that I seldom see any comments or questions, where there is any reference to shooting 10 m CO-2 rifles. We hear that there are soe bargains to be had, as the CO-2 rifles are no longer competitive with the PCP rifles being so better. I would not argue that point, as there are enough variable...

Ruger MK512 Question

I am absolutely new and inexperienced with .22 rimfire semi- automatic pistols. Bought my first one, an slightly used MK-2 with a 5.5" bull barrel. Put Houge thumb rest grips on it before I left the shot. Well, I can confirm that the trigger is less than good, with a long and creepy and rough f...
