Re: FWB 600 rear sight

I used a Gehman Compact on my 602 - worked fine.

standing balance eyes

I'm short sighted and can't see sharply without glasses. I have a lens for my shooting eye, and a small translucent blinder for the other eye, on a shooting frame. What I am wondering is does perception from the non shooting eye have an affect on balance and therefore should I get a correcting lens ...

Feinwerkbau 65 price

What price would one expect to pay for a mint example of the model 65 pistol , right hand wooden adjustable grips, uncarved?

Re: Upgrades for LG400 (Sights and Buttplate)

Suggest you actually measure how well your sight is performing - relatively straightforward to set up a (digital) dial gauge on the sight and move it 10 clicks and back in all the directions, checking the size of each step and whether you return to zero. I was appalled when I tested my sight.

Re: Non-destructive pellet trap?

Well I've done the rag thing and it does eventually require attention. I also needed a really compact solution. I found that a lead plate made from melted down pellets and at least 5mm thick works very well. I have it in a thin box with some cardboard over the front, which contains the pellets which...

Re: Attaching Rear Sight To Dovetail (Rookie Question)

I recall having the same issue. Just cranked it up very tight with a big screwdriver. The pin must locate in the large grooves.

Ryan

I've been focusing on your 1/ consistency, trying to find the cause of a wandering npa.

Where exactly should the sights come to rest after the first big movement ( ie putting the rifle up) - like how far above the target dot?

Re: Sauveplane's front sight....

I am intrigued with this design. Obviously works for Mr Sauveplane. Can anyone else who has tried it comment please. What does the sight picture look like? Would it help for someone with "old" eyes?

standing air rifle pulse

I notice the movement of my hold seems mostly horizontal but its moving in time with my pulse - what can cause this?

Re: 10m AR: Movement of heartbeat in sight picture?

I'm rather new to the 10m AR game, but something really strange happened during my practice session yesterday: I could see my heartbeat in my sight picture. In other words, my sights moved up and down with each heart beat. I've never noticed this phenomenon before, even for the short time I raced i...

loading in position in standing

I'm interested to know why this is rare ( to not put the rifle on the rest) - is it due to equipment not allowing it making it physically awkward, or is it just too much effort, or are there other reasons for it being uncommon?

Personally I wouldn't fill a 200bar cylinder from a 300bar cylinder without a regulator.

Re: sight picture

I do have astigmatism but that is corrected. The shape change is anyway different to what I associate with astigmatism - its more about the thickness of the ring - thinner at top compared to the bottom. I'm pretty sure what I see is due to the rearsight sightline not being on the same line as the tu...

sight picture

When I aim and look at my front sight it seems that it is not an even shape - the outer is not even thickness. I thought about this and I wondered if it was because the rear sight is at a different height to the front sight. I made a few measurements and calculated how much it is out of line , then ...

Re: FWB 700 alu - absorbing device

I've played around with the recoil device too. The 12mm where a slight resistance is felt, is quite subtle. Fire a shot then gently open the port - there should be a point where it stops slightly. At this point you measure it. Repeat a number of times to get an average. I'm not at all convinced by t...

From my experience it really didn't make any difference how tight - just do them up firmly.

Many thanks. I was worried I was going to have to send the rifle to Germany to get it looked at. I've adjusted screw 14 in tiny tiny steps and it now seems to be fixed and still safe. Pretty tricky. Would a drop of nail polish on the screw to fix it in place be a good idea?

Good to know. Can you remember whether you had to adjust "screw14"- trigger point?(the one the handbook says not to alter..) What I've noticed is that if I hold the trigger at maybe 50% of the trigger breaking there is this tiny movement in the system. Maybe its wrong to call it creep. Ann...
