I've held back from posting on this for a while. Hey are you at the AMU? Are you any of those soldiers? Thought not. Do not post on what you do not know. They HAVE 5 coaches who are still there. They will be leaving soon. No soldier from the USAMU would ever let a ROTC instructor come in and try to ...

I can't find the link, but George Norton spoke about "the game" that helped him shoot the standing scores he is capable of. Basically it's a final where the score of each shot doesn't matter. He just counts the number of well executed shots he can take in a row, resetting the count when he...

SMP, It is definitely difficult to get better without a knowledgeable coach watching your training. Be careful of the advice you receive through forums and other websites because more often than not those giving the advice might be sending you down a rabbit hole if they are giving you the wrong advi...

Hey Jordan, When you are either indoors or outdoors, you always want to use reference points down the range. When indoors, things like rafters, ceiling tiles, floor tiles and cut lines in the floor (cement) are good references. Outdoors is a little more difficult to find the center. Again, using ref...

Hey bud, Nothing in the rules about switching sights so scratch that. I'm no mathematical guru, but couple things to through in: Barrel length Distance to target Big or small clicks on the sight Honestly, I wouldn't complicate this. Just go to the range, set up a test bench, and sight in with all th...

Well... I had something written up, paused, and came back to see jhmartin posted the same advice as well. That is the way to rule out the rifle. Would be worth testing the cylinder is at high and low levels. If this ends up being the problem come back and let us know. I'll see who I can talk to abou...

Hey Patrick, Few questions before I try to auto diagnose the problem without knowing some things. A. How long have they been shooting? B. Are they shooting with pants, jacket, etc.? C. How long has the problem been going on? D. You mentioned having the rifle since July, how long have they trained wi...

Not to start a flame thread, but I don't think that was necessary Roy. Supporting these types of programs has always been their mission. I would also not start the rumor mill either on the climate at the AMU.

JROTC chain of command?

Does anyone know who is the command authority for JROTC rifle teams? Pretty much I am just wondering who provides instruction to the new coaches for the JROTC teams. Any help would be great.

I contacted the USAMU and there will be no postal for the match because there will be no match for 2012. Regretful, but was nice while they had it.
